PNZA Strategic Plan 2023-2026

PNZA Mission - To ensure the growth and development of Pickleball across Aoteraoa New Zealand through a network of clubs/venues and players. To support the provision of coaching, social, and competitive play opportunities, and support with establishing local associations will facilitate this and assist with improving community connections.

PNZA Vision - PNZA as the governing body for Pickleball in NZ facilitates the growth of community connections through the playing of Pickleball across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Pickleball Confirmed as an Officially Accredited Sport by Sport NZ

As of 27 November 2025, Pickleball has officially been accredited by Sport NZ, with Pickleball New Zealand Association (PNZA) recognised as the national governing body for the sport.  This formal recognition marks a major milestone for Pickleball in Aotearoa New Zealand, highlighting its growth, inclusivity, and the strength of our wider community.  This accreditation helps strengthen Pickleball’s pathways, supports clubs and players nationwide, and ensures Pickleball continues to grow sustainably across the country.  A huge thank you to all our volunteers, clubs, and supporters who have made this possible!  Pickleball is officially recognised in Aotearoa New Zealand.  Pickleball is here to stay and the future is bright!
