As of 27 November 2025, Pickleball has officially been accredited by Sport NZ, with Pickleball New Zealand Association (PNZA) recognised as the national governing body for the sport. This formal recognition marks a major milestone for Pickleball in Aotearoa New Zealand, highlighting its growth, inclusivity, and the strength of our wider community. This accreditation helps strengthen Pickleball’s pathways, supports clubs and players nationwide, and ensures Pickleball continues to grow sustainably across the country. A huge thank you to all our volunteers, clubs, and supporters who have made this possible! Pickleball is officially recognised in Aotearoa New Zealand.
